How do I make a Native American flute?

Very carefully...

Take a peek at my Flute Class page to get an idea what might be involved in the process.

Should you be interested in joining one of the flute classes either in the Dallas or Austin WoodCraft stores please contact me for further information.

Additional information is available in a series of books by Lew Price. See my Flute Books page and examine the link to Lew Paxton Price's books on Monty Levenson's web page.

I have every intention of writing a 'How to make a Native American Flute' book in the future but that is still very much on the back burner at this point. Lots of other projects must be completed before I tackle that issue. Suffice it to say there is not a quick one or two paragraph answer to this question.

You can also obtain a piece of software specifically for designing flutes from Monty Levenson's website (Craft Manuals section on left pane). The software is called "Flute Designs: Native American Style Software", again, by Lew Price.
